When time was young
When the time was young, and life unspoiled, the world seemed wide and so beguiled. The days were long, and the nights so sweet, the joys of youth an endless treat.
We played and laughed without a care, and dreamt of things beyond compare. Our spirits soared, our hearts alight as we explored the world in sight.
But time, it seems, moves ever on, and soon, the days of youth are gone. The world grows harder, cold and grey, as we journey on our life's highway.
Yet still, within our hearts, we hold the memories of those days of old. And though the world may seem so tough, we know that we are made of stronger stuff.
For we have faced the tests of time, and weathered every storm and climb. And though our youth may fade away, our spirit's fire burns bright each day.
So, when we look back on the days of old, we cherish them like precious gold. For in those memories, we find the joy and peace that soothes the mind.
